This foldable paper lampshade made from lokta paper is traditionally handmade in Nepal. The handmade natural paper is block-printed in small factories and the outer sides are sewn by hand with a thin thread to form a square lampshade. Lokta paper is a natural fiber paper made from highland plants in the Himalayas. The lampshade has an uneven, pleasant surface, which is similar to that of rice paper and which radiates a warm, cozy light due to its texture. The lampshade has four strings on the top that come together in the middle to hang it up.

Is really OK in price and so always nice
The lampshade looks exactly as pictured and is also satisfactorily finished, neither torn nor glued or anything else (as some reviews criticized exactly this point, I was a little worried about it). I liked the fact that I could buy a shade separately, as I already had a lamp or suspension.
The lampshade is smaller than I expected, it could have been a little bigger. But I still don`t think the shade is bad and will keep it now that it`s hanging anyway. The hanging lamp is visually interesting, the attachment is a little fiddly, a cable tie has to hold the threads on the cable. However, this is not noticeable. The material is sturdy and probably won`t break so quickly, so I`m satisfied here too. The patterns are varied, I opted for the prayer wheel and think this look is absolutely fine. This lamp is something different and stands out from the typical paper lamps.
