Meditation cushion from Thailand in traditional Thai design and kapok filling. The quilted button in the middle makes them particularly dimensionally stable, even after a long period of sitting. These properties make these cushions particularly suitable for yoga and meditation. The kapok (Malay) filling, also known as plant down, is the fiber of the kapok tree (Ceiba pentandra). It comes from the 1.5 to 4 cm long fibers of the fruit of the tree, which grows in the tropics. The fibers have a fine wax coating, which means that they cannot be spun, but also has the advantage that the hairs cannot be wetted. They are therefore often used as a filling for mattresses. The pillow is made from purely plant-based materials and is therefore also suitable for vegans.
