Historic four-poster bed, teak day bed - model 12 - 216x242x156 cm

This four-poster bed is a genuine antique from the colonial era on the Indonesian island of Java. The front and the side parts are decorated with elaborate carvings. All parts are in their original condition and were once made of teak. The internal dimensions of this small bed pavilion are such that it is also suitable as a bed in our house in terms of length. This is not the case with most day beds of this type. The bed is delivered disassembled and consists of a solid base and the body, which is divided into 9 individual parts. The front and side parts are delicately crafted and are simply plugged together. However, the connections (pins and dowels) are not as stable as you would expect from an industrial product of today`s design. For everyday use, we also recommend the use of brackets, which we supply as accessories. Basic manual skills are an advantage when assembling the bed.
